[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Police are examining land transaction records within the Sanjeong District of Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, which was selected as a new public housing district for the government's 3rd New Town project.
The Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 11th that it is currently investigating whether there are any speculative suspicions related to land buyers in the Sanjeong District and their connections with public institutions.
A dedicated team formed to cooperate with the National Investigation Headquarters and to conduct investigations within the jurisdiction is verifying the facts regarding real estate speculation suspicions.
The Sanjeong District in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, was proposed by LH to Gwangju Metropolitan City on July 9 last year for the creation of a hinterland industrial complex related to the Bitgreen Industrial Complex.
Accordingly, the Gwangju Police set the period from January 1, 2018, to the present and secured land transaction records.
The scope will be expanded to include relatives of land purchasers, and a comparison will be made with the list of related public officials.
