Wingit has gained high trust from about 450,000 customers thanks to manufacturing process transparency by directly planning products and outsourcing production to highly reliable manufacturers. Due to the increased demand for home-cooked meals influenced by COVID-19, it recorded sales of about 14 billion KRW last year alone, attracting significant attention.
SmilePay is expanding partnerships with various ready-to-eat and delivery brands, reflecting the rapid growth of the online food market in the post-COVID-19 era. When paying with SmilePay on Wingit, customers can easily complete payments by entering a 6-digit password, greatly enhancing convenience. Since SmilePay is widely used by the highly purchasing power demographic of ages 30 to 49, it is expected to create high synergy with Wingit, which specializes in premium ready-to-eat meals.
To commemorate this partnership, a cashback promotion will be held until the 31st. When making a first payment of 40,000 KRW or more on Wingit using SmilePay, 4,000 KRW will be credited as SmileCash (e-money that can be used like cash on Gmarket, Auction, G9, etc.). Additionally, 0.5% of the actual payment amount will be automatically credited as SmileCash every time a payment is made with SmilePay.

An eBay Korea official said, “SmilePay is actively targeting the ready-to-eat market by reflecting the changing needs of customers due to COVID-19, and this partnership is part of that effort,” adding, “We plan to aggressively expand not only ready-to-eat meals but also post-COVID-related fields such as travel and tourism.”
