Kibo and Seoul Business Agency Join Hands with Seoul City for SME R&D Support

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Jung Yoon-mo, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 9th that it signed a business agreement with the Seoul Business Agency (CEO Jang Young-seung, hereinafter referred to as SBA) at its Seoul office in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, to provide follow-up support for research and development (R&D) of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Seoul.
This agreement was established to discover Seoul-based SMEs with excellent technologies and strengthen financial support to promote the commercialization of R&D achievements. According to the agreement, when SBA recommends Seoul SMEs with outstanding technologies to Kibo, Kibo will support the innovative growth of Seoul SMEs through comprehensive support such as technology evaluation, customized guarantee support, direct investment, and technology transfer.

Additionally, Kibo and SBA plan to create synergy through mutual exchange of R&D project evaluation and technology evaluation experts for Seoul SMEs possessing excellent technologies, and will actively support non-financial services such as consulting and promotion for the discovered companies. Jang Young-gyu, head of Kibo’s Seoul Western Regional Headquarters, stated, "Kibo operates various support systems for small and medium venture companies, including technology evaluation and customized guarantee support, and through this agreement, we will actively respond to the Korean New Deal policy by discovering and supporting excellent technology SMEs located in Seoul."
