Statistics Korea Paper Contest... Application Deadline April 23
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] On the 10th, Statistics Korea announced that it will hold the '19th Statistics Korea Thesis Contest' for domestic and international undergraduate and graduate students.
The contest topics are ▲Analysis of economic and social phenomena using official statistics (including microdata), big data, and administrative data ▲Data-driven policy research ▲Application of national statistical methodology in data science ▲Theory and methods of statistical compilation, etc.
The application period is from today until the 23rd of next month. Applicants must submit their final thesis by July 5.
Selected outstanding theses will receive a commendation from the Commissioner of Statistics Korea along with a prize of up to 3 million KRW. They will also be selected as presenters at the 11th National Statistical Methodology Symposium to be held in October.
