Shinsegae Food Launches Healthy Dessert Cake with Gangneung Chodang Tofu
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Shinsegae Food announced on the 10th that its premium bakery 'The Menagerie' has launched a healthy dessert, 'Gangneung Chodang Tofu Cake,' in collaboration with the Gangneung regional specialty 'Gangneung Chodang Tofu.'
The 'Gangneung Chodang Tofu Cake' features 25% Chodang tofu made from domestically produced soybeans, replicating the soft taste, texture, and shape of tofu.
In particular, the handmade process of mixing Chodang tofu with cream cheese in a golden ratio enhances the cake's mild and savory flavor. The traditional wooden mold used to make tofu is applied to the product packaging design, allowing consumers to experience the freshness and unique enjoyment as if eating real tofu.
The 'Gangneung Chodang Tofu Cake' will be first sold through Baemin Shopping Live on the 11th and will be available on Kakao Gift from the 15th.
