Blue House spokesperson Kang Min-seok stated on the 9th, "Regarding the LH scandal, Representative Ahn Byung-gil suddenly claimed that 'the originator of illegal and irregular farmland purchases is President Moon Jae-in' and demanded that 'the President himself undergo an investigation and apologize to the public,'" adding, "the relocation of the President's private residence and the circumstances of the land purchase have been disclosed and explained multiple times through written briefings and responses to the National Assembly. There is absolutely no illegality or irregularity."
Spokesperson Kang said, "The President's purchase of the private residence land is being conducted legally in accordance with relevant laws and procedures such as the Farmland Act. The acquisition permit for the farmland was obtained following the procedures stipulated in the Farmland Act, and these procedures are no different from those that citizens undergo when preparing for returning to farming or rural living."
