Twosome Place Launches Third Round of Franchisee Support to Overcome COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Twosome Place (Twosome) announced on the 9th that it will provide additional support funds and quarantine supplies to share the difficulties of its franchise stores caused by COVID-19.
Twosome will provide support worth approximately 1.5 billion KRW, including 1 million KRW in raw material purchase support funds and quarantine supplies, to about 1,300 franchise stores nationwide.
This is the third time Twosome has supported its franchise stores to overcome the COVID-19 crisis, totaling 4.5 billion KRW including the first and second rounds of support. In February last year, during the first spread of COVID-19, Twosome quickly responded by providing support funds, quarantine supplies, and disinfection services to franchise stores nationwide. In September, when in-store dining was prohibited and difficult times were experienced, Twosome also allocated a special budget to provide additional support to franchise stores.
Along with this, Twosome continued investments for the sustainable growth of its franchise stores and brand despite the crisis. Last year, Twosome invested about 40 billion KRW in store environment improvements, IT infrastructure and production facility expansion, R&D center establishment, and expansion of O2O services to increase franchise store sales. This year, it plans to continue investments such as a complete overhaul of the mobile app upgrading the existing membership system and construction of a new factory.

A Twosome Place official said, “We have prepared additional support measures for franchise stores to share the ongoing difficulties on the ground caused by COVID-19. Although the headquarters is also facing a very challenging situation, as a partner for the co-growth of about 1,300 franchise stores, we will do our best to share the difficulties of franchise stores and overcome the COVID-19 crisis.”
