WEMAKEPRICE Supports Small Business E-commerce Entry... Opens 'W Academy'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Wemakeprice has established an offline hub to support small business owners' entry into e-commerce.
On the 9th, Wemakeprice announced that it will open the comprehensive small business content facility 'W Academy' in collaboration with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Enterprise and Market Service. Located near Yeoksam Station in Seoul, W Academy spans 790㎡ (239 pyeong) and occupies an entire five-story building open to small business owners.
W Academy aims to be a "sales school where sellers grow," offering sales consulting and educational programs. It provides spaces such as studios, lecture rooms, and shared offices, as well as equipment and supplies necessary for work.
Additionally, one-on-one consultants and professional PDs for video content production are stationed on-site to assist visiting small business owners in entering the online market. Any small business owner can use the facility free of charge with prior reservation.
Wemakeprice plans to utilize W Academy as a hub for nurturing online sellers. A dedicated 'W Academy Pavilion' will be launched on the Wemakeprice website and app to showcase small business owners' products to consumers and support discount promotions.
Meanwhile, to commemorate the opening of W Academy, a live commerce event called 'Selling Until the End' will be held on the 10th. Comedian Kim Jae-woo and show host Lee Ja-yeon will present and taste dishes made with excellent small business products at the W Academy cooking studio. The broadcast will run for two hours starting at 6 p.m.
