Korea Center "MakeShop Develops 'Dachatda', a Dedicated Search Engine for Shopping Malls"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Korea Center, a contactless e-commerce specialist company, announced on the 9th that its MakeShop platform is developing a shopping mall dedicated search engine called ‘Dachatda’ and is recruiting 50 shopping malls to participate in the beta test.
The shopping mall dedicated search engine is a long-standing project of MakeShop and a service not supported by major competitors. It is an advanced search dictionary that allows searches tailored to the characteristics of each shopping mall.
The shopping mall dedicated search engine ‘Dachatda’ is an AI (artificial intelligence)-based search service developed together with Enuri Price Comparison, a price comparison specialist company. It goes beyond simple identical word search functions to enable ▲synonym search (leopard → hopi) ▲automatic English search (beokle → buckle) ▲same category search (lamb → lamb ribs, yangkkochi) and more.
Also, to suit the nature of shopping malls that need to register new products frequently, Dachatda can expose thousands of products through the search engine within minutes, and it independently provides continuous performance improvement services to maintain advanced search engines for each industry.
In particular, MakeShop plans to sequentially apply a shopping search finder based on this search engine, which allows customers to select options and styles and search for products, similar to what is currently provided by portal sites.
Along with this, MakeShop is recruiting 50 MakeShop stores that want to experience this search engine first until the 10th. Selected shopping malls will be given priority support to use the Dachatda search engine and the shopping search finder, which is scheduled to be applied later, from the 10th to the 17th of the same month.
