A man in his 50s arrested for killing his Southeast Asian wife in her 30s... Detention expected
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] The Gumi Police Station in Gyeongbuk is investigating a man in his 50s, identified as A, on suspicion of murder after he killed his wife with a weapon during a marital dispute.
A is accused of repeatedly hitting his wife B (31) and then fatally stabbing her with a weapon at an apartment in Gupyeong-dong, Gumi-si, around 8:58 PM the previous day.
The wife was transported to a nearby hospital by the responding paramedics but ultimately passed away. The deceased wife was from a Southeast Asian country and was recently registered as married to her husband, holding foreigner status.
