Seoul Reports 132 New COVID-19 Cases... Maintaining 100s for Six Consecutive Days
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] The daily number of new COVID-19 cases in Seoul has remained in the 100s for six consecutive days.
According to the Central Disease Control Headquarters (CDCH) on the 7th, the number of new confirmed cases in Seoul on the 6th was 132. Among them, 5 were imported cases and 127 were domestic infections.
The daily new cases in Seoul have stayed in the 100s every day except for three days since January 7 this year. The numbers fell outside this range due to large fluctuations on February 8 with 90 cases, 16th with 258 cases, and 28th with 92 cases. From the 1st of this month, the daily cases were around 120, recorded as 122→119→118→129→128→132.
The cumulative number of confirmed cases in Seoul as of midnight that day was 29,079. Among the cumulative confirmed cases in Seoul, 2,977 patients are receiving isolation treatment, and 25,708 have been declared recovered and released from isolation.
The number of deaths among COVID-19 confirmed cases in Seoul is 394, with one additional death confirmed within 24 hours.
