59 Confirmed Cases at Metropolitan Temporary Testing Sites... 18.3% of Metropolitan Area Local Cases
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Confirmed cases continue to be detected at temporary screening clinics set up to find hidden COVID-19 infections in the Seoul metropolitan area.
According to the Central Disease Control Headquarters (CDCH) on the 7th, a total of 59 new confirmed cases were diagnosed at temporary screening clinics in the metropolitan area, including Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon, the previous day. This accounts for 14.8% of the 399 new locally transmitted cases reported as of midnight that day. Among the 323 locally transmitted cases in the metropolitan area, it represents 18.3%.
Looking at the regions where the 59 new confirmed cases were found, there were 17 in Seoul, 37 in Gyeonggi, and 5 in Incheon. Since December 14 of last year, a total of 6,407 people have been confirmed positive at temporary screening clinics in the metropolitan area.

Currently, there are a total of 97 temporary screening clinics operating in the metropolitan area: 26 in Seoul, 65 in Gyeonggi, and 6 in Incheon. A total of 21,130 tests were conducted in one day yesterday.
