322 New COVID-19 Cases Nationwide by 6 PM, 13 More Than Previous Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Soyeon] As the spread of COVID-19 continues in South Korea, new confirmed cases were reported nationwide on the 5th.
According to the quarantine authorities, Seoul city, and other local governments, from midnight to 6 p.m. on the day, a total of 322 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were recorded nationwide.
This is 13 more than the 309 cases recorded at the same time the previous day.
Looking at the regions where confirmed cases were reported, 253 cases (78.6%) were in the metropolitan area, and 69 cases (21.4%) were in non-metropolitan areas.
By city and province, there were 129 cases in Gyeonggi, 104 in Seoul, 20 each in Incheon and Chungbuk, 12 each in Busan and Gyeongbuk, 5 in Chungnam, 4 in Daegu, 3 each in Ulsan, Jeonbuk, Gyeongnam, and Gangwon, 2 in Jeju, and 1 each in Gwangju and Jeonnam.
