Seodaemun-gu Announces Contest for 'SNS Content' Including Videos, Blogs, and Card News
Contest Themes 'Small Daily Joys in Seodaemun-gu' and 'Discovering the Charm of Seodaemun-gu'... Monthly Selection of Outstanding Entries, Final 12 Winners to be Chosen in December This Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) is conducting the 2nd SNS Content Contest until November 30th this year to communicate with citizens through the district's charm and relatable stories.
The contest themes are "Everyday Moments Enjoyed in Seodaemun-gu" and "Discovering the Charm of Seodaemun-gu," and submissions can be made in video and image formats (blogs, card news, webtoons).
There are no restrictions on video genres, including documentary, drama, reporting, animation, etc.
Anyone can participate by posting their original content on their own SNS (blogs, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
Submissions must be set to public and include the hashtag "#SeodaemunGuSNSContentContest".
Additionally, applicants must download the application form from the Seodaemun-gu website notice section, fill in the work description and link address, and submit it along with a sample file (for image category) via email to besthm01@sdm.go.kr.
The judging criteria for submissions include completeness, creativity, interest, and expressiveness. Each month, up to about 10 "Outstanding Candidates" will be selected and awarded gift certificates worth approximately 50,000 KRW.
Then, in December, among the "Outstanding Candidates," 12 winners will be selected in total: one grand prize, two excellence awards, and three encouragement awards each for the "video" and "image" categories. Winners will receive certificates from the mayor and prize money (100,000 KRW for the grand prize in video, 300,000 KRW for the grand prize in image, etc.).
Seodaemun-gu plans to actively utilize the winning works by displaying them on various SNS promotional channels, blogs, and digital displays at the district office and community centers.
Mayor Moon Seok-jin said, "Through this contest, I hope the attractive nature and landmarks of Seodaemun-gu, its local history and culture, and excellent policies will be widely known on SNS."
