Daejeon City Revises 115 Local Ordinances Including Restrictions on Residents' Rights
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City announced on the 2nd that it will systematically organize 115 out of 864 local ordinances.
The organization aims to ▲resolve inconveniences in citizens' daily lives ▲address non-reflection of the enactment or revision of higher-level laws or deviation from delegated authority (inconsistency) ▲eliminate practically ineffective or unnecessary matters ▲enact and revise local ordinances following the complete revision of the Local Autonomy Act ▲improve regulations through the regulatory responsibility system.
The city plans to complete the organization by the end of the year after consulting with the Ministry of Government Legislation.
So far, the city has continuously organized local ordinances to promote local decentralization and expand autonomous legislative power during the 7th elected administration, as well as to innovate regulations closely related to residents' lives.
Last year, through a comprehensive internal survey and collaboration with the Ministry of Government Legislation and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, a total of 114 local ordinances were organized.
