View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] A total of 195 youth housing units will be built near Sadang Station in Seoul.
On the 26th, Seoul City announced that it held the 2nd Subcommittee on Youth Housing in Station Areas the day before and approved a revised district unit plan for the youth housing project at 1044-1 Sadang-dong, Dongjak-gu (site area 703.70㎡).
At the subcommittee, a conditional approval was also given for the district unit plan change for the youth housing project at 539-2 Seongnae-dong, near Gangdong-gu Office (853.7㎡).
Once the district unit plans for these areas are finalized and announced, the youth housing projects can commence. Near Sadang Station, 195 units will be built, and near Gangdong-gu Office Station, 90 units are planned. If related procedures such as building permits from the respective district offices are completed, move-in is expected in September 2023.

Youth housing in station areas is provided to homeless youth aged 19 to 39. These units are supplied at prices lower than the surrounding market rates, and communal facilities for residents' convenience are also planned.
