[Photo] AstraZeneca Vaccines Arrived at Seongdong-gu Health Center
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jeong Won-oh) announced that the COVID-19 vaccines arrived at the Seongdong-gu Public Health Center on the morning of the 25th, one day before the start of vaccinations.
The vaccinations starting on the 26th will target residents and workers of nursing hospitals and elderly care facilities under the age of 65.
Vaccinations will begin at 10 a.m. on the 26th for care workers at Iam Nursing Home, and the district stated that it has completed thorough preparations to ensure safe vaccination.
Seongdong-gu was selected as Seoul's first local vaccination center and will operate the center from mid-March for high-risk medical institution workers and COVID-19 response personnel designated by the government.

Jeong Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, said, “As Seoul’s first local vaccination center, we will work closely with Seoul City to prepare flawlessly so that it becomes the standard for local vaccination centers to be established in all autonomous districts of Seoul,” adding, “We will meticulously manage every process to ensure that people can participate in vaccination with confidence.”
