At the meeting, Mayor Jo Gyu-il of Jinju said, “I thank the Jinju Christian Council for their wholehearted and active participation in complying with quarantine rules despite the difficult circumstances over the past year,” and urged, “Please continue to participate in observing quarantine rules such as social distancing during the remaining period to overcome COVID-19.”
In response, Eom Tae-ho, president of the Jinju Christian Council, said, “I appreciate Mayor Jo Gyu-il and the staff for their hard work throughout the year for Jinju city administration amid the unprecedented infectious disease crisis of COVID-19,” and added, “Moreover, the prompt response to prevent the spread of infection in the local community and efforts to block transmission between regions stood out compared to other areas.” He also stated that member churches of the Jinju Christian Council would actively participate in activities to prevent infectious diseases.
