Shinhan Financial Investment's 'Overseas Stock PlanYES' Surpasses 16,000 Cumulative Subscription Accounts
[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Shinhan Financial Investment announced on the 24th that the cumulative number of subscription accounts for its overseas stock installment service, ‘PlanYES,’ has surpassed 16,000 accounts.
Launched in April 2019, the ‘Overseas Stock PlanYES Service’ is a one-stop service that automatically handles currency exchange and installment purchases every month, and also sells stocks when a preset target profit rate is reached.
For example, a customer who wants to buy US stocks with 500,000 KRW every month and realize profits when the expected return reaches 7% can subscribe once to the ‘Overseas Stock PlanYES Service’ to automatically purchase the designated stocks for 500,000 KRW each month. Additionally, when the account’s profit rate reaches 7%, the stocks are automatically sold.
This service allows automatic installment investment without placing purchase orders each time, which can help lower the average purchase price. Currently, 78% of customers using the service are making profits.
Moreover, fractional share investing enables monthly installment investments even in expensive stocks, allowing portfolio investments across multiple stocks simultaneously. Among all users, 30% invest in a portfolio format, and the customer with the most diversified investments holds 36 different stocks.
