Suwon-si to Receive Bus Complaints via QR Code
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province will accept complaints about city and village buses through QR codes.
On the 23rd, Suwon City announced that it recently attached stickers printed with QR codes to 1,223 city and village buses.
By scanning the QR code with a smartphone, users can be connected to the 'Suwon-si Saeol Electronic Civil Service Window' to easily submit complaints.
An official from the city said, "A citizen proposed to install QR codes inside buses to immediately listen to passengers' inconveniences and suggestions for improvement and to collect opinions through the National Complaints Portal," adding, "The city reviewed this and made the final decision to introduce it."
He added, "Using the QR code, it will be convenient to submit bus-related complaints," and "We will promptly handle complaints to minimize citizen inconvenience."

Last year, Suwon City received 4,391 complaints related to buses. The most frequent was non-stop at bus stops with 1,814 cases, followed by rudeness (751 cases), and refusal to board (211 cases).
