Shinhan Life Launches 'Internet Simple 2 Major Health Insurance' Covering Cerebral Hemorrhage and Acute Myocardial Infarction
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Shinhan Life announced on the 23rd that it has launched the 'Shinhan Internet Simple 2 Major Health Insurance,' which focuses on coverage for cerebral hemorrhage and acute myocardial infarction.
This product can be subscribed to through internet channels without visiting or face-to-face consultation, and pays a diagnosis benefit upon diagnosis of cerebral hemorrhage or acute myocardial infarction.
For example, if the insured is diagnosed with cerebral hemorrhage or acute myocardial infarction after one year from the insurance subscription and after the coverage start date, a diagnosis benefit of 10 million KRW (based on the main contract subscription amount of 10 million KRW) will be paid. If it is less than one year since subscription, only 50% of the insurance amount is covered.
For customers who find it difficult to subscribe through general underwriting, such as elderly or those with pre-existing conditions, it is possible to choose between a simplified underwriting product, which is the first internet insurance to simplify the contract underwriting process, and a general underwriting product.
This is a non-renewable product with the same premium from the subscription point to the maturity point, and both the general underwriting type and simplified underwriting type apply premium waiver benefits according to the criteria.
