Mokpo National Maritime University Holds Online Graduation Ceremony for College of Marine Engineering and Graduate School

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Mokpo National Maritime University (President Park Sung-hyun) announced on the 22nd that it held the 2020 academic year Marine Engineering College and Graduate School spring degree conferment ceremony online from 11 a.m. on the 19th in the small auditorium of the Institute of Engineering Building.
The degree conferment ceremony, conducted online in a non-face-to-face manner through the university's official YouTube account, was held with only a minimal number of attendees including representatives of undergraduate departments and key officials, in compliance with COVID-19 quarantine guidelines. A total of 72 graduates from the Marine Engineering College participated online and received their bachelor's degrees.
Additionally, a total of 11 graduate students received master's and doctoral degrees: 1 master's degree from the Graduate School of Marine Industry, 5 master's degrees from the General Graduate School, and 5 doctoral degrees from the General Graduate School.
At the degree conferment ceremony, online congratulatory speeches were delivered by National Assembly member Kim Won-i, Mokpo Mayor Kim Jong-sik, Mokpo City Council Chairman Park Chang-su, and Alumni Association President Kim Gwi-dong, wishing the graduates a bright future.
Alumni Association President Kim Gwi-dong said to the graduates, "I bless that moments of glory accompany you as you take your first steps into society. I ask you to fully demonstrate the skills you have honed at the university, with the belief that individual capabilities lead to the university's development, and to do your best on the front lines of society while forever remembering your beautiful alma mater."
