[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] The DGB Social Contribution Foundation announced on the 19th that it has signed a business agreement with the Daegu Home Care Elderly Welfare Association to support financial education projects for home care seniors in the region.
As part of DGB Financial Group's efforts to realize inclusive finance, this agreement was made to closely implement the senior financial education program "9988 Financial Classroom," which has been ongoing since 2018, for local seniors.
Various programs will be conducted to establish a healthy financial life and environment for home care seniors, targeting approximately 7,800 home care seniors using 39 home care elderly welfare centers affiliated with the Daegu Home Care Elderly Welfare Association in Daegu.
The "9988 Financial Classroom" program is a tailored initiative for financially vulnerable groups facing difficulties in independent financial life amid rapidly changing financial environments such as contactless and digital trends. It is expected to serve as a starting point to enhance financial independence capabilities through this program.
