Suncheon-si, Small-Scale Activity Support Project for New Middle-Aged Public Contest
Call for Proposals: Community Projects Involving Active Participation of Shinjoongnyeon (Aged 50-64)
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 19th that it will hold a public contest for the ‘Middle-aged Participant Community’ project, which supports small group activities such as work and learning so that middle-aged individuals can design their second life and quickly adapt to new changes.
The ‘Middle-aged Participant Community’ project, which has been implemented since last year, is open to teams of middle-aged individuals (aged 50 to 64) residing in Suncheon City, consisting of seven or more members who have activity plans related to common interests.
The city plans to select about 10 teams through interviews and evaluations, targeting middle-aged teams that establish plans and carry out activities in various fields such as life redesign, second career exploration, cultural and artistic exploration, community contribution, and research activities for middle-aged individuals.
Teams selected through the contest will receive activity spaces, funding, instructor support, and opportunities to apply for project contests.
The application period is from the 22nd to the 26th, and applications can be submitted by visiting the Suncheon City Second Act Support Center or via email.

Meanwhile, Suncheon City is promoting various programs such as meaningful jobs utilizing the knowledge and experience of middle-aged individuals, monthly special lectures, and the Let′s Academy education after retirement, to help the 50s and 60s generation at life’s turning point learn new fields, communicate, and give back their experience and capabilities to the local community.
