This event, linked with Ulta-ri USA, a major US buyer that has long maintained a global exchange and cooperation relationship with Wando-gun, was held simultaneously at three direct stores (LA, La Mirada, Torrance), the Ulta-ri USA online mall, and Missy USA, the largest women's community in the Americas.
A total of three companies participated in the promotion: Wando Dasima Abalone Fisheries, Heungil Food, and Segyero Fisheries, selling 24 Wando specialty products. The main popular items were frozen abalone, dried maesaengi seaweed, lunchbox gim (seaweed), and assorted seaweed.
A customer who purchased frozen abalone online said, "I live in the eastern US, and it was delivered fresh without thawing," expressing satisfaction with the product by adding, "It is hard to find abalone with this level of freshness in the US."
Another consumer who bought assorted seaweed said, "It was nice to be able to eat various seaweeds conveniently, and I made bibimbap, which had great texture and taste."
Governor Shin Woo-cheol stated, "Since overseas business trips have become difficult due to COVID-19, we will put more effort into promoting the excellence of Wando specialties through overseas promotions utilizing foreign buyers."
