Paikdabang, Smart Order Sales Increase 5 Times Compared to Launch
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Paik’s Coffee, a coffee specialty brand under The Born Korea, announced on the 19th that sales from the mobile order payment service ‘Smart Order’ within its membership application have increased about fivefold compared to the early days of the app launch.
The Smart Order feature is a service that allows customers to order and pay for menu items at nearby stores via mobile. With the spread of COVID-19, it has gained attention as a safe service that minimizes the time spent in stores and face-to-face contact between customers and store owners, leading to a continuous increase in usage.
Sales from Smart Order at Paik’s Coffee in January increased more than five times compared to March 2020, when the mobile app was launched. Not only in January but also in February, sales through Smart Order have been maintained at a similar level. The majority of customers used Smart Order during the busy commuting hours from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., and regardless of the season, signature coffee menus such as ‘At! Americano’, ‘Paik’s Latte’, and ‘Original Coffee’ recorded the highest sales.

Paik’s Coffee has expanded the Smart Order serviceable distance within the membership app to 2 km. They are continuously adding various services considering user convenience, such as mobile coupon reservation sending and integration with delivery apps.
