According to the Gyeonggi Northern Fire and Disaster Headquarters on the 18th, around 12:14 PM, a fire of unknown cause broke out in a steel-framed building (educational materials storage warehouse) located in Topyeong-dong, Guri-si.
Two company employees working in the warehouse suffered facial burns and are receiving treatment at a hospital, and six buildings (total floor area 722㎡) were burned.
When the fire broke out, 65 firefighters, 33 vehicles, and 2 fire helicopters were dispatched, but strong winds made extinguishing efforts difficult.
The fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
