Assemblyman Shin Jeong-hoon Requests Cooperation from Floor Leader Joo Ho-young for Passage of KEPCO University Special Act
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] On the 18th, National Assembly member Shin Jeong-hoon (The Democratic Party, Jeonnam Naju·Hwasun) visited Joo Ho-young, floor leader of the People Power Party, emphasizing the urgency of enacting the special law for Korea Electric Power Corporation University (KEPCO University) and requested active cooperation from the party level.
Member Shin Jeong-hoon stated, “KEPCO University is a national strategic project that concerns the future of the national energy industry, not the interests of a specific region,” and requested, “The leadership of the People Power Party should step forward to ensure that the university opens normally and that world-class talents who will lead the energy industry can be nurtured without any setbacks.”
In response, Floor Leader Joo Ho-young promised cooperation, saying, “I will hold a meeting with the party’s Industry, Trade and Energy Committee members to discuss the bill’s passage.”
