Jangseong-gun Promotes 'Nutrition Plus Project' for Pregnant Women and Infants
[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Yoo Dooseok) is promoting the 'Nutrition Plus Project' to improve the health of low-income pregnant women and infants.
According to the county on the 18th, the Nutrition Plus Project is a program that provides customized nutrition education and support for pregnant women and infants who are nutritionally at-risk groups.
Supplementary foods are delivered directly to the target households once a month.
The project targets households residing in the county with pregnant women or infants under the age of 6, whose income is below 80% of the median income standard.
Those who wish to participate can inquire at the Health Living Team of the Public Health Center.
Earlier, last month, the county completed the first provision of 11 types of supplementary foods such as formula, eggs, and dried seafood to 56 households totaling 71 people (21 pregnant women and 50 infants).
