Chonnam National University Hospital Supports Local Social Welfare Facilities with Quarantine Supplies
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Jeonnam National University Hospital announced on the 18th that it visited social welfare facilities in the Gwangju area on the 17th to support 'Love Disinfection Supplies' to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
This disinfection supply support, hosted by the Public Health Medical Project Office of Jeonnam National University Hospital, was implemented to strengthen the health safety net by preventing infection among socially marginalized children and infants amid the ongoing spread of COVID-19.
In particular, in addition to its primary medical services such as treating confirmed COVID-19 patients and conducting screening tests, the hospital aimed to faithfully fulfill the role of a public medical institution by providing supplies to vulnerable groups in terms of disinfection.
Jeong Seon-young, head of the Public Health Medical Project Team at Jeonnam National University Hospital, and two others visited the 'Gwangju Infant Temporary Shelter' located in Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, delivering 100 KF94 masks, 56 hand sanitizers, fabric detergent, and breast milk bottles.
The Gwangju Infant Temporary Shelter is a social welfare facility that protects children who are abandoned, missing, or born to single mothers in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions.
