[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seok-jun) carried out personnel appointments for 732 education public officials across 16 job categories on the 17th.
This personnel appointment, effective March 1, covers 732 education public officials in 16 job categories, including 548 transfers in 15 job categories such as special education assistants, librarians, cooks, and kitchen assistants, as well as 184 new hires in 7 job categories.
This appointment involved rotational assignments for long-term employees at the same school (institution), reallocation of personnel due to new school openings and closures, retirements, job category changes, project modifications, filling vacancies, and alleviating difficulties caused by long-distance commuting.
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education stated that this personnel appointment was conducted based on fair and objective personnel standards prepared through labor-management consultations.
Transferable schools were announced in advance to education public officials, and they were given the option to list up to 10 preferred schools to work at, thereby granting them the right to choose their school.
When there were many applicants for the same school, placement was made according to transfer scores based on transfer criteria, resulting in 518 out of 548 transfer candidates (94.5%) being assigned to their preferred workplaces.
For newly hired education public officials in the first half of this year, placement was made considering their residential locations.
New education public officials will work as indefinite-term contract employees until retirement age (60 years old) after undergoing a three-month probationary evaluation period.
