Honam University and Gwangju Dong-gu Join Hands to Develop Healthy City Gymnastics
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Honam University has partnered with Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, to develop health exercises that contribute to disease prevention and health promotion for district residents.
According to Honam University on the 17th, Park Sang-chul, president of Honam University, held a 'Life Cycle Customized Healthy City Exercise Development and Joint Video Production Agreement Ceremony' with Lim Taek, mayor of Dong-gu, at the Dong-gu mayor's office that morning.
Through this agreement, Honam University will develop health exercises tailored to the life cycle of district residents, mainly involving physical therapy students, and the Integrated News Center will film and edit videos to provide to Dong-gu.
The health exercise videos will be produced according to life stages, including growth exercises that stimulate growth plates and correct posture for kindergarten and elementary school students, vascular-strengthening exercises to prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases for young and middle-aged adults, and physical vitality exercises to prevent falls and frozen shoulder for elderly seniors.

The produced videos will be uploaded on the Dong-gu website and utilized through media platforms such as YouTube and Instagram, or used as video materials for education targeting various facilities and resident education or lectures conducted by each department.
