Changwon Fire Headquarters Promotes 'Changwon-style Safety Experience Center' for 1.04 Million Citizens to Participate
Goal to Open in the Second Half of This Year
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] On the 17th, the Changwon Fire Department in Gyeongnam announced that it has begun preparations to promote the Changwon-style Safety Experience Center at the Changwon Science Experience Center located in Seongsan-gu, where 1.04 million Changwon citizens can directly participate and receive safety education.
The Changwon-style Safety Experience Center embodies Mayor Heo Seong-moo's commitment to a safe city, Changwon. It will be established on the 3rd floor exhibition hall of the Science Experience Center, covering an area of 1,044㎡, with five experience zones and eight booths. This project combines the 'science' of the existing Changwon Science Experience Center with the 'safety' of the fire department to promote a Changwon-style specialized experience event. Outdoors, a mobile safety experience vehicle will be deployed, and differentiated programs such as camping safety classes will be operated.
More than once a month, safety-related experts will be invited to strengthen the social safety net, and character events with children will be held, among other efforts, to operate a representative experience center of Changwon.
The Science Experience Center is a science experience activity exhibition hall with a total area of 8,122.66㎡, consisting of one basement floor and three above-ground floors. In addition to the permanent exhibition hall, it is equipped with facilities such as a special video theater (4D), a planetarium, and an observation space.
