Muan Fire Station Promotes Evacuation Methods During Apartment Fires
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] The Muan Fire Station in Jeonnam (Chief Park Won-guk) announced on the 17th that it is promoting various evacuation methods suitable for the structure to prevent casualties in the event of an apartment fire targeting apartments in the jurisdiction.
Apartments, where many people live, have different evacuation facilities depending on the year of completion, structure, and number of floors, so it is necessary to know the evacuation facilities of the apartment you currently live in to evacuate safely in an emergency.
Methods of evacuation during an apartment fire include using an emergency escape device (wan-gang-gi), lightweight partitions, indoor evacuation spaces, and emergency exits.
The wan-gang-gi is an evacuation device that can be used in emergencies and is installed from the 3rd to the 10th floor of apartments. The lightweight partition is installed on the boundary walls between apartment units on the 3rd floor and above, made of thin gypsum board, and is an evacuation facility that can be broken and escaped through in an emergency.
The Muan Fire Station plans to continuously promote evacuation methods through posting banners in apartments in the jurisdiction, distributing lightweight partition stickers and evacuation method guides, and conducting training for related personnel.
