'Product Listing and Logistics Cost Support'... Gyeonggi-do Supports SMEs' 'Overseas Market Entry'
[Asia Economy Reporter La Young-cheol] Gyeonggi Province is helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the province enter overseas markets.
On the 17th, according to the province, the B2B/B2C e-commerce support project plans to list products from 90 SMEs in the province on the world's largest e-commerce platforms such as Alibaba.com, Amazon (USA), and Shopee (Singapore), and provide support for promotion costs, logistics costs, and account fees.
Additionally, marketing support will be provided using famous influencers active on global social networking service (SNS) platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, and products will be promoted and sold on WeChat, China’s largest SNS platform.
In particular, as the non-face-to-face trade base has been strengthened due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, the province plans to nurture export-tailored individual creators by producing and supporting YouTube content for 40 SMEs to cultivate digital content specialists for export companies.
The Gyeonggi Business Center (GBC), the province’s overseas trade office, will support the listing of participating companies’ products in the western region of China through real-time 'live commerce' broadcasts.
For 44 beginner companies lacking online export experience, customized overseas buyer information will be provided.
With the recent increase in export share to the ASEAN region, 30 companies wishing to enter Vietnam and Malaysia will be supported in pioneering Southeast Asian sales channels through listing on local popular online malls such as Lazada and Sendo.
In the second half of this year, the province also plans to support the hosting of export consultation meetings by discovering promising buyers in the Southeast Asian region.
To this end, the province is recruiting 304 companies to participate in the '2021 Online Overseas Marketing Support Project.'
The recruitment fields include ▲Global B2B (business-to-business) / B2C (business-to-consumer) e-commerce support ▲Global social networking service (SNS) promotional marketing support ▲Customized overseas buyer information provision ▲Southeast Asia sales channel development package ▲Export-tailored individual creator nurturing, totaling five categories.
Eligible applicants are SMEs with headquarters or factories located in Gyeonggi Province and export performance under 20 million USD in the previous year.
