[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Shinhan Card announced on the 16th that it will hold an event offering cashback benefits to customers who pay their university tuition fees for the first time with a Shinhan Card in celebration of the new semester.
The event runs until the 5th of next month and is targeted at customers paying university tuition fees for the first time with a Shinhan credit card. The cashback benefits vary depending on the payment amount. Customers paying 500,000 KRW or more will receive 10,000 KRW cashback, those paying 2,000,000 KRW or more will receive 20,000 KRW cashback, and those paying 5,000,000 KRW or more will receive 30,000 KRW cashback.

Additionally, to reduce the burden on customers due to large payments, interest-free installment plans and slim installment events are also offered. Interest-free installments are available for up to 4 months, and customers who wish to pay over a longer period can choose slim installments, where they pay installment fees for some installments and receive interest-free benefits for the remaining period. Slim installments are available for 6, 10, and 12 months. For 6-month slim installments, customers pay fees for up to 2 installments; for 10-month slim installments, up to 4 installments; and for 12-month slim installments, up to 5 installments. The remaining period is interest-free.
