One COVID-19 Case with Unidentified Infection Route Confirmed in Gwangju...Total 1,952 Cases

According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 16th, as of 2 PM that day, one person was confirmed positive for COVID-19 and registered as case number 1952.
Case 1952 developed symptoms such as fever the previous day and was tested at a public health center screening clinic, receiving a positive diagnosis on the same day.
The route of infection is currently under investigation.
Meanwhile, health authorities conducted an on-site epidemiological investigation at Bitgoeul Jeonnam National University Hospital, where case 1950, confirmed the previous day, works.
Case 1950 began experiencing symptoms such as nasal congestion from the 14th and visited the Jeonnam National University Hospital screening clinic, where they tested positive.
They had visited Jeonnam on the 10th and 11th to meet their parents, who were also confirmed positive the previous day.
So far, 44 people related to case 1950 have been tested, with 43 testing negative and one still undergoing testing.
At Bitgoeul Jeonnam National University Hospital, 47 people have been classified as contacts. Nine have been placed under self-quarantine, 35 under active monitoring, and 3 under passive monitoring. Medical staff under active monitoring will undergo PCR tests every 3 days, while those under passive monitoring will be tested every 5 days.
