Joeunhee: "Seoul City with Female Majority and Male Minority Will Cooperate through 100 Major Civil Complaints Project"
[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Cho Eun-hee, the People Power Party candidate for Seoul mayor, promised to select four major civil complaints from each of the 25 districts and promote the 'Top 100 Civil Complaints Project' to foster cooperation between the ruling and opposition parties. Considering that both district heads and city council members are dominated by the ruling party, she aims to create a cooperative structure between the 25 districts and the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
On the 16th, candidate Cho stated, "Upon taking office, I will select four major civil complaints from each of the 25 districts and begin identifying the 'Top 100 Civil Complaints Project'." She explained, "The four major complaints will not be influenced by the political party affiliation of the district heads but will be selected based on four criteria: ▲directly related to citizens' lives and safety, ▲policies or projects that have limitations when pursued solely by individual district offices, ▲avoiding simple development or maintenance projects, and ▲prioritizing support for low-income groups and small business owners."
She added, "The mayor will personally preside over monthly regular inspection meetings on the selected Top 100 Civil Complaints Projects, and a 'Top 100 Civil Complaints Project Reporting Conference,' where the mayor and district heads jointly review the project's progress, will be held quarterly. To ensure close cooperation, I will introduce a 'Policy Transparency System' that unites the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s main office and district offices into one team, fundamentally preventing non-cooperation or administrative gaps between the main office and autonomous districts."

Candidate Cho said, "Many people want to judge the Democratic Party in the upcoming April by-election because the Moon Jae-in administration’s failures and the Democratic Party’s 10 years have ruined Seoul, and they want to elect an opposition candidate. However, out of 109 Seoul city council members, only six are proper opposition members, and all 24 district heads belong to the ruling party, raising concerns about whether a newly elected mayor can effectively work." She continued, "I will not tolerate neglect or special treatment based on party affiliation but will focus solely on what benefits citizens' lives. I will work closely with the 25 district heads to implement Seoul city administration that takes responsibility for the lives of 10 million Seoul citizens through a new cooperative administrative model called ‘25+1 Seoul Party.’"
