According to foreign media, President Biden said in a statement released on the 13th (local time) after the federal Senate rejected the impeachment of former President Trump, "Although the final vote did not result in a guilty verdict, there is no question about the nature of the charges brought against Trump."
President Biden emphasized, "This sad chapter in our history reminded us that democracy is fragile and must be protected," adding, "We must not be more complacent than ever."
President Biden said, "Violence and extremism have no place in America," and that all Americans, especially national leaders, have the responsibility and duty to uphold the truth and defeat falsehoods.
