View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] LG Uplus announced on the 14th that it has launched the enterprise-exclusive solution service ‘U+ SD-WAN,’ which manages quality in real time through software and provides cloud access functions.
Developed in collaboration with IT virtualization specialist VMware, U+ SD-WAN is a solution that improves line services by using an SD WAN platform and dedicated terminal devices on business lines within enterprises.
Enterprise customers can enhance line service quality and utilize various additional services by leveraging the SD-WAN platform without needing to replace their existing business communication networks. It guarantees the stability of enterprise-dedicated lines while flexibly responding to business services that generate large volumes of traffic such as video conferencing and cloud services. Terminals using the enterprise private network are remotely and automatically controlled from a central location.
Unlike typical network or security devices, it separates the data domain and control domain to enhance security safety. U+ SD-WAN alone provides VPN tunneling and firewall functions. Additionally, it can control traffic to maintain optimal quality for each application used by enterprise customers.
With network virtualization capabilities, service function upgrades are possible, and it can be expanded by applying new next-generation communication technologies. Previously, LG Uplus completed verification of application quality improvement and efficient network environment operation through service demonstrations with domestic and international commercial customers and pilot customers of U+ SD-WAN.
Convenience has also been enhanced by providing a one-stop service from construction to maintenance. In cooperation with Daeycom Crossing, a broadband international line specialist company and subsidiary, and VMware, integrated services from activation to maintenance are provided to enterprise customers with overseas branches. This can be used to improve international communication quality while enabling domestic enterprise customers to remotely operate equipment immediately without sending employees to overseas branches or factories or going through partners.
