[Weather] Clear Skies Nationwide Tomorrow... High Fine Dust Levels and Large Temperature Differences
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] On the third day of the Lunar New Year holiday and Saturday, the 13th, the whole country is expected to be mostly clear and mild. However, fine dust levels will be high.
The morning low temperature is forecast to be between -5 and 6 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high temperature between 11 and 19 degrees Celsius. In the morning, many inland areas will experience subzero temperatures, while it will be mild during the day, causing a large temperature difference between day and night.
Fine dust concentrations are expected to be 'bad' in the Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon Yeongseo, Chungcheong region, Honam region, Daegu, Ulsan, and Gyeongbuk, while other regions are expected to be 'moderate.'
The National Institute of Environmental Research stated, "Fine dust from the previous day remains in most areas, and due to stagnant air, domestically generated fine dust accumulates, resulting in high concentrations."
Dense fog with visibility below 200 meters is expected mainly along the west coast and central inland areas until the morning, and fog with visibility less than 1 km is forecast in various inland areas, so caution is advised for traffic safety.
Sea waves will be 0.5 to 1 meter in the East Sea and South Sea coastal waters, and 0.5 meters in the West Sea coastal waters. Wave heights in the open sea are expected to be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 2 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the South Sea.
