Man Who Fled After Crashing Police Car and Taxi Tracked... Syringe Suspected of Drug Use Found
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Police are pursuing a man who rammed four vehicles, including police cars, in downtown Seoul and fled the scene. A syringe suspected to be used for drug injection was found inside the man's vehicle.
Seoul Gangdong Police Station announced on the 11th that they are tracking a man in his 20s, Mr. A, who fled after leaving a syringe in his car following a minor collision in Cheonho-dong, Gangdong-gu, around 10 p.m. on the 9th.
Mr. A was spotted by patrolling police running a red light, who attempted to stop him, but he ignored the officers and continued driving. He then collided with a taxi and other vehicles and rammed a police car that blocked his path. It is reported that none of the occupants of the affected vehicles were seriously injured.
After the accident, Mr. A abandoned his car in a narrow alley and fled, leaving behind a female passenger in her 20s. Inside the car, an empty syringe suspected to be used for drug injection and several mobile phones were found.

The police have requested the National Forensic Service to analyze the contents of the syringe. They also plan to conduct a drug test on Mr. A as soon as he is arrested under a warrant.
