Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Conducts Maritime Safety Campaign for Lunar New Year Holiday
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Cha Min-sik, hereinafter referred to as the Authority) announced on the 10th that it conducted a maritime safety campaign at Yeosu Coastal Passenger Terminal in celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday.
This campaign was aligned with the 'Special Passenger Transport Period' organized by the Yeosu Regional Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Office from February 10 to 14 to facilitate smooth travel for holidaymakers visiting their hometowns during the Lunar New Year.
On the first day of the special transport period, the Authority distributed maritime safety leaflets to passengers and visitors using the Coastal Passenger Terminal to ensure a safe and comfortable ship journey.
Additionally, to respond to COVID-19, the Authority held a farewell event for passengers visiting island villages within Yeosu by providing hand sanitizing wet wipes and KF94 masks.
Along with this, the Authority is working to improve convenience for local residents and islanders using the Coastal Passenger Terminal and coastal parking lots by introducing a fully unmanned parking system and deploying auxiliary parking management personnel to enhance customer service and maintain order.
