KT&G Executive Recommendation Committee Selects Current President Baek Bok-in as Next CEO Candidate
If finally appointed, will lead KT&G for the next 3 years
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] The KT&G President Candidate Recommendation Committee (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Candidate Committee’) has selected Baek Bok-in, the current president of KT&G (photo), as the next presidential candidate.
The Candidate Committee announced on the 9th that it had selected the current president Baek Bok-in as the next presidential candidate and reported this to the KT&G board of directors. If he is finally appointed at the regular shareholders' meeting scheduled for next month, President Baek will lead KT&G for the next three-year term.
The Candidate Committee stated, “We have listened to the opinions of various stakeholders, including institutional investors, and conducted document screening and in-depth interviews with the current president Baek Bok-in. After strictly reviewing management performance, future vision and strategy, willingness to innovate, and global mindset, we decided on President Baek as the next candidate.”
