Code States Secures Total Investment of 4 Billion Won
Hashed, Strong Ventures, and Others Invest 2.5 Billion KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] IT talent development startup Code States announced on the 9th that it has completed its pre-Series A round, securing a cumulative investment of 4 billion KRW. Following last year's 1.5 billion KRW investment, Code States raised an additional 2.5 billion KRW from Hashed and Strong Ventures this time, bringing the total investment to 4 billion KRW. Hashed and Strong Ventures joined as investors after recognizing Code States' vision and the potential of the talent development market.
Last year's achievements also drew attention. Code States explained that as of the end of last year, the cumulative number of students enrolled grew more than fivefold compared to the previous year, and the income-sharing amount surged over 30 times within one year. Revenue also doubled. Code States offers IT company-linked software talent development services, providing educational programs for those who want to start or switch careers as developers, as well as connecting them to recruitment at over 150 leading domestic companies. It has gained attention by introducing an 'income sharing' model where a portion of income is paid back as tuition only after successfully securing employment with a certain salary or higher.

In addition to the existing talent development education market, Code States plans to open new innovations by expanding the 'human capital' model that invests in people. Kim In-gi, CEO of Code States, said, "This year will be a year of more visible progress based on the know-how accumulated by Code States so far," adding, "We will focus on establishing ourselves as a company with the best system for talent development and investment not only domestically but also in the global market."
