KT&G Sangsangmadang, 'Sangsangmadang Cinema' Reopens in the Second Half of the Year
New Operating Partner Selection Process Begins... Application Deadline March 12
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] KT&G Sangsangmadang announced on the 8th that it plans to reopen 'Sangsangmadang Cinema' in the second half of this year and has issued a business proposal notice to find a new operating partner.
The business proposal posted by KT&G Sangsangmadang on the 8th focuses on independent film distribution, screening, and film content management. The independent cinema 'Sangsangmadang Cinema,' located at 'KT&G Sangsangmadang Hongdae,' is currently closed due to COVID-19, but it is scheduled to reopen in the second half of the year after space remodeling and content reorganization.
The application period is until the 12th of next month. Applicants can submit the application form and related documents via email. The final announcement is planned to be made in May after document and presentation evaluations.

KT&G Sangsangmadang will provide the selected partner company with free use of the 'Sangsangmadang Cinema' theater and auxiliary facilities for two years. The partner company will be responsible for overall operation of 'Sangsangmadang Cinema,' including distributing and screening independent films and planning differentiated content for independent film industry stakeholders and audiences.
