KOTRA to Hold '2021 Japan Online Job Fair' for Three Days Starting from the 8th
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunjin Jeong] KOTRA announced that it will hold the '2021 Japan Online Job Fair' for three days starting from the 8th to help young Koreans find overseas employment.
This event will feature 34 Japanese companies, including Nissan Motor and Hitachi Logistics, interested in hiring Korean personnel, recruiting a total of 144 people across 67 job categories. By job category, IT engineers are the most with 45 positions, followed by technical positions (44), office/administrative positions (22), and sales positions (20).
Prior to this event, KOTRA delivered information about employment at Japanese companies to 75 domestic engineering universities, and a total of 592 job seekers applied. Among them, 201 candidates who passed the document screening will participate in a total of 310 video interviews with companies.

According to KOTRA, although investment and employment by Japanese companies have recently contracted, IT-related investment increased by 15.8% compared to the previous year. In a survey conducted last year targeting 1,249 Japanese companies, about 18% responded that they plan to increase personnel at overseas bases. A Japanese semiconductor manufacturing company, which plans to hire three technical and sales positions at this job fair, said, "More than half of our total sales come from overseas," and added, "We are looking for talented individuals who are challenging and possess global capabilities."
