On the night of the 7th (Korean time), at the Royal Greens Golf Club (par 70, 7,010 yards) in King Abdullah Economic City, Saudi Arabia, Johnson added 2-under par on the final day of the European Tour Saudi International (total prize money $3.5 million) to secure a two-stroke victory (15-under par 265). This is his second win at the tournament following the inaugural championship in 2019, his ninth European Tour victory overall, and the winner's prize money of $583,330 (about 650 million KRW). He also recorded his 24th win on the PGA Tour.
Starting with a two-stroke lead, Johnson combined three birdies and one bogey. He got off to a smooth start with a birdie on the 4th hole (par 5), added another birdie on the 13th hole (par 4), and kept his challengers at bay. After a bogey on the 16th hole (par 3), he immediately recovered with a birdie on the 17th hole (par 4), and secured the win by making par on the final 18th hole (par 5). Johnson is currently the strongest player. He swept four wins in the PGA Tour, including three in the 2020 season and one in the 2021 season.
Last August and September, he achieved an impressive record of 'win-second place-win' in three playoff (PO) tournaments, and in November, he claimed the 'Fall Masters' title with the tournament's lowest score (20-under par 268). Notably, he has shown particular strength at the Royal Greens course, with a win in 2019 and a second place last year. Justin Rose (England) surged with 5-under par to finish tied for second place (13-under par 267). Tony Finau (USA) joined this group by shooting 3-under par.
