Ministry of Science and ICT Announces Call for Proposals to Support Talent Development Programs for STEM University Students
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-su] The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 7th that it will implement the 'Field-Linked Future Leading Talent Development Support Project' to strengthen the problem-solving capabilities of science and engineering university students who will be responsible for future science and technology.
The Ministry of Science and ICT plans to accept applications for one month from the 8th until the 9th of next month, select one research group (consortium), and provide 1.8 billion KRW in support. This research group will form 60 university student research teams and jointly develop and operate premium online lectures.

Kang Sang-wook, Director of the Future Talent Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Science and ICT, said, “This project focuses on supporting science and engineering university students to lead the entire research process from problem definition to planning and execution without being obsessed with results, allowing them to fully demonstrate convergent thinking and creativity.” He added, “We hope excellent universities actively participate to enhance problem-solving capabilities linked to industrial sites.”
