University Students and Professors Protest Coup on Campus in Yangon, Myanmar
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] On the 5th, the fifth day since the military coup, university students and professors held protest demonstrations on campus in Yangon, Myanmar's largest city.
Local media reported footage of students from Yangon Dagon University marching on campus, raising three fingers and singing protest songs. The size of the protest is estimated to be around 100 people.
Foreign media also reported that about 200 students and professors from Yangon University of Education held an anti-coup protest rally on campus, making the symbolic 'three-finger salute' of resistance.
